Sisters, Sisters

Remember that song from White Christmas? Well, this post has nothing to do with that. Tomorrow, I am joining the 3 of my 4 sisters living here (the other lives in Nevada) for a few hours of fun. We are meeting for lunch at a fancy restaurant and deciding from there what we'll do next.

I am looking forward to it. We never spend time together alone. We see each other fairly often, especially by today's standards, but it is always with the whole family.

It will be nice to have one conversation going at a time.

Resolutions?

Sometimes it seems we go years and years with very little change in our lives when suddenly, it seems that every part of our lives is upended!

In the last few years, I have lost my dear father, a cousin, and an uncle; helped a couple of other relatives with their own health challenges; had my oldest daughter head off to college; & left a comfortable career to work with my husband in buying and operating an auto center in our community. It has been scary (the debt) and exciting (the opportunity). I am also in the homestretch of finishing a masters degree in management- going to school full- time while working full- time.

My goals for 2009 include getting my health back on track, finishing my masters, and building our business.

New Year's Eve- 12/31/08

Happy New Year's Eve! I am sitting on my couch on this very snowy last day of 2008. I've been thinking about this past year and the one that lays promisingly ahead, and decided to create a blog to note the passing of the next twelve months. I am not sure where it will lead, but it should be interesting to note the progression of the year!
