Resolutions?

Sometimes it seems we go years and years with very little change in our lives when suddenly, it seems that every part of our lives is upended!

In the last few years, I have lost my dear father, a cousin, and an uncle; helped a couple of other relatives with their own health challenges; had my oldest daughter head off to college; & left a comfortable career to work with my husband in buying and operating an auto center in our community. It has been scary (the debt) and exciting (the opportunity). I am also in the homestretch of finishing a masters degree in management- going to school full- time while working full- time.

My goals for 2009 include getting my health back on track, finishing my masters, and building our business.

  1. Some times we lose people we love without "losing" them. Always keep a little bit of music close by to ease the journey...

"Every Day Is A Winding Road"
    lyrics by Sheryl Crow

I hitched a ride with a vending machine repair man
He says he's been down this road more than twice
    He was high on intellectualism
I've never been there but the brochure looks nice
    Jump in, let's go
    Lay back, enjoy the show
Everybody gets high, everybody gets low,
These are the days when anything goes

    [Chorus]
    Everyday is a winding road
I get a little bit closer
    Everyday is a faded sign
I get a little bit closer to feeling fine

He's got a daughter he calls Easter
She was born on a Tuesday night
I'm just wondering why I feel so all alone
Why I'm a stranger in my own life
    Jump in, let's go
    Lay back, enjoy the show
Everybody gets high, everybody gets low
These are the days when anything goes

    [Chorus]

I've been swimming in a sea of anarchy
I've been living on coffee and nicotine
I've been wondering if all the things I've seen
Were ever real, were ever really happening

    [Chorus]
